Volunteer Oportunities

Evergreen Country Day School is a co-educational independent day school serving students from age 2 through middle school. As a member of NAIS, the National Association of Independent Schools, we are committed to providing a high-quality education that helps young people to develop into successful, well-rounded individuals. We guide and encourage our young people to build on their unique strengths and to develop attitudes and habits that bring success in school, maturing into contributing members of the local and global community.

Our web site provides general information about our programs and curriculum. We encourage you schedule a personal visit and conference with our Head of School, Mr. Ben Jackson, to experience the environment and to learn how Evergreen Country Day School can meet the needs of your child.

School Support Opportunities

Room Parents: Room Parents play a very important role during the school Year at ECDS.  They are responsible for planning and executing all classroom activites and parties with the teacher and other parents in the classroom.  These may include parties, special academic events, or other activities as requested and directed by the classroom teacher. We ask that all room parents or a class representative attend all PTO meetings. Room Parents are also a lifeline for the PTO.  It is their responsibility to establish an email list or phone tree to contact all parents and teachers in the classroom.  PTO will frequently have announcements and/or needs and the families can be contacted through these lines of communication.

Office Volunteers - Office help requires answering telephones, filing, copying and any special mailings and/or projects for the Head of School and Marketing. If you have time to volunteer in the office, this would be greatly appreciated!  PTO often needs volunteers to create flyers, address envelopes and help with PTO projects.  Familiarity with Microsoft Office and Publisher helps with PTO projects!

Lunch Volunteers – Lunch servers are needed to help set-up, serve and clean-up in the elementary lunchroom.  This requires 2 hours each day, 11am - 1pm.  Please sign up and help if you can.  Your children love to have you serve lunch!
