| Evergreen Country Day School is a member of NAIS, the National Association of Independent Schools. We are committed to providing a high-quality education that helps young people to develop into successful, well-rounded individuals. We guide and encourage our young people to build on their unique strengths and to develop attitudes and habits that bring success in school, maturing into contributing members of the local and global community. Evergreen Country Day School has received its full accreditation from the Association of Colorado Independent Schools (ACIS) www.acischools.org. Evergreen Country Day School joins thirty other leading independent schools across the state of Colorado.
ACIS, a regional accrediting agency for independent schools, is recognized by the National Association of Independent Schools; the largest and most recognized organization of independent schools in the nation. The comprehensive accrediting process includes a thorough review of the school's curriculum, facilities, resources, personnel/faculty, extra-curricular programs, governance, financial sustainability, and community. The entire process takes a minimum of three years and includes a candidacy application, a thorough self-study, and two separate and lengthy visits by representatives of ACIS and educators from other member schools. Each school must complete the process every seven years.
The accreditation was completed just three months after the school moved into its new state of the art $10 million facility. The new facility sits on eleven acres and includes state of the art classrooms, smartboard technology, a fully equipped science lab, a cafeteria adaptable for performing arts, administrative offices, library, technology lab, an art studio, music studio, dance studio, and a great hall for community and cultural events. In addition to this facility that serves students in Kindergarten-Eighth grade, the school also has a renovated early childhood facility for students aged two-pre-kindergarten.
Our web site provides general information about our programs and curriculum. We encourage you schedule a personal visit and conference with our Head of School, Mr. Ben Jackson, to experience the environment and to learn how Evergreen Country Day School can meet the needs of your child.
Mission Statement
"Evergreen Country Day School's mission is to inspire the young minds of our future. By fostering self-expression and by providing a content-rich curriculum, we are dedicated to the development of the whole child. We strive to create an educational experience that will nurture all students' innate desire to learn and develop into critical thinkers. By honoring academic excellence, along with moral and social responsibility, we will prepare each child for their lifelong journey of learning."
In 2004, and 2005, Evergreen Country Day School purchased 11 acres of land in the Tepees Development at El Rancho and a dedicated early childhood facility. To support future growth, a state-of-the-art Campus Center is under development to support our K-8 programs, athletics, and administration.
